A high-performance support brace is built around more than support strength. Its performance comes from how the material, reinforcement, and overall construction work together with the way the body moves.
We develop support products by starting with the intended function and then translating that requirement into the right combination of base material, structural reinforcement, and construction details. The goal is to provide the required level of support while keeping the product stable, comfortable, and suitable for repeated use.
Support requirements vary from one application to another. A lightweight compression sleeve needs to move naturally with the body, while a reinforced brace may need to control unwanted movement and provide stronger directional stability.
During product development, we analyze the required support function and select the appropriate combination of materials, reinforcement components, and structural designs to achieve consistent performance.
Compression-based support relies on controlled compression from elastic materials, providing flexible and comfortable support for everyday activities, fitness, and recreational sports.
These supports create distributed pressure around the target body area, improving fit and providing additional stability and protection during movement, while allowing users to maintain natural mobility with lightweight stabilization.
Material selection directly influences compression performance, and the main fabric is typically one of two types:

Typically made from elastic yarns such as spandex blended with nylon or polyester, these fabrics provide flexible compression, elastic recovery, and breathability. They are ideal for dynamic movement, extended wear, and moisture management.

Made from closed-cell synthetic rubber foam, either pure chloroprene rubber or a CR/SBR blend, neoprene provide stable compression, cushioning, and a supportive wearing experience. They are better suited for stronger joint stabilization, impact protection, and thermal retention.
When additional stability is required, reinforcement components are integrated into the soft support structure.
The role of reinforcement in a brace depends on the body area it supports and the function it is designed to serve. For example, lumbar stays support the lower back and relieve lumbar pressure, while flexible side stays in knee braces reduce side-to-side joint movement and provide medial and lateral stability.
Different materials provide different mechanical behaviors. Support stays are also classified by rigidity into soft, semi-rigid, and rigid types.

Provides high rigidity and stable support, resistant to deformation. Suitable for braces requiring firm support.

Spiral spring structure provides excellent flexibility and rebound, delivering dynamic support and lateral stability while distributing pressure and reducing joint load during movement.

Made from polypropylene, offering a lightweight, bend-resistant structure with moderate support. Ideal for dynamic areas that require both flexibility and durability.

The hinged design allows controlled flexion and extension while limiting unwanted lateral or rotational movement, making it suitable for knee braces and joint products requiring controlled range of motion.
A support brace performs most effectively when it remains correctly positioned during use. Even a well-designed support structure may lose some effectiveness if the product shifts, slides, or changes position during movement.
Sports activities, repeated joint motion, sweating, and differences in body shape can all create challenges for maintaining a stable fit.
We address these challenges by combining tailored anti-slip designs with ergonomic construction, adapting the fit and positioning of each brace to its intended use and movement.
Anti-slip can be achieved through two approaches, grip surface and adjustable strap fixation.
Grip surfaces, such as silicone grip strips and embossed neoprene, are commonly integrated into key contact areas on the inner side of the brace to increase friction and reduce displacement during activity.
Straps and closure systems wrap around the limb and connect to the brace body, providing adjustable tightening. This tightening method reduces displacement and helps maintain a stable position during activity.
Stable positioning can be supported by how well the brace follows the body’s natural shape and movement. During product development, we use body measurement data and 3D pattern-making to create contoured panels designed to better match the body’s natural curves.
Comfort plays an important role in long-term wear. For daily, sport, and recovery applications, we improve wearing comfort through targeted material selection, focusing on heat management, moisture control, and skin comfort.
Materials directly influence how a support product feels against the skin and performs during extended wear. We select different materials based on requirements such as breathability, moisture management, elasticity and wearing comfort.

Perforations improve airflow and heat release, helping reduce heat buildup in high-contact and high-sweat areas.

Made from 100% chloroprene rubber, CR neoprene is softer and more elastic than SBR and SCR, making it ideal for flexible, comfortable support.

Offers a cool-touch feel, soft skin contact, and good elasticity for comfortable, flexible wear.

Provides moisture management and quick-drying performance, helping maintain comfort during active and extended wear.
